Course #: C11541
This interactive course delves into common visible issues that can be identified without the aid of specialized tools. With an extensive collection of photos spanning five years of inspections, the aim of this class is to equip you with the skills to streamline the home inspection process and minimize unexpected surprises during assessments. You will learn to differentiate between a "fixer-upper" and a "tear-down," and gain insights into the specific repair needs associated with different home eras.
Throughout the course, we will share valuable techniques such as:
1. Assessing the need for roof replacement from a simple driveway perspective.
2. Distinguishing between recalled L.P. siding types, including composite, cement, and real wood siding.
3. Identifying the two key locations in a house to determine the plumbing system in use.
4. Recognizing the two recalled electrical panel models and their locations.
5. Employing a straightforward method to detect potential pests in a crawlspace without physically entering it.
6. Differentiating between normal settling and potentially significant structural issues.
