About this Event
DeShawn Lindsay, a proud Detroit native, serves as the Kitchen Supervisor for Eastern Market's incubator kitchen. Also, working as a Classroom facilitator for Detroit Food Academy a non-profit focusing on youth development through culinary arts and entrepreneurship. He has a passion for culinary arts, and skill sets in fields such as food safety, inventory management, production planning, and youth development.
This comprehensive 2-hour session will provide practical insights to successfully navigate the ins and outs of working in a shared commercial kitchen. This workshop will include information on licensing and regulations, kitchen etiquette and best practices, and food safety protocols.
