About this Event
Holes in your clothes? Button fallen off? Tear in a favourite shirt? Things lying about waiting for that mend? Here's your opportunity to fix them in this hands on session.
Volunteer stitchers and menders from the Everyone Needs Pockets Textile Reuse Network can help work out what needs doing and how to fix it, supporting you to mend your own clothes.
What we can help with:
- Buttons and fasteners
- Taking up hems and some fitting adjustments
- Mending and darning holes
- Advice on how you might repair a piece of clothing, including zips.
Come and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere of mending your clothes.
These sessions are designed for all abilities and many different kind of repairs. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult throughout the session.
Please answer the questions as you book in, so we know how best to help you!
This session takes place upstairs at the Cheese and Grain and is fully accessible(via lift).
