If you're on social media and want to build a following, you need to learn to make reels! Instagram was originally launched as a photo-focused app, but over time, it’s become more video-focused. Reels were introduced a few years ago to compete with other video-based apps like TikTok, and Instagram’s algorithm now favors them. The introduction of reels completely changed the way we interact with followers and altered how we gain new ones. In the good old days, you uploaded a photo whenever you wanted, and your followers saw posts in the order that they were posted. Now, you’re creating content not only for your followers but also to attract non-followers and bring them into your circle. Reels are the best way on Instagram to help you grow your audience—and this class will make it “reel” simple to add them to your skill set!
Anna will cover important basics, including:
- Where to go on your profile to make a reel
- Uploading content to edit (photos or video)
- Editing video
- Adding sound to your video
- Adding text to your video
- Adding additional clips to your video
- Writing a caption
- Previewing
- Posting
DONATIONS ARE REQUESTED BUT NOT REQUIRED. We're a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and we reinvest all money collected from fees and donations back into serving creatives in our region.
