Join us for an insightful session on diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Learn how to identify common mistakes that can hinder progress and discover effective strategies to avoid them. This event is your opportunity to gain valuable insights, connect with like-minded professionals and enhance your diversity and inclusion efforts. This workshop is offered by A Better Force.

A Better Force empowers individuals and companies to transform themselves through equity-focused leadership and professional development programs. A better Force training is tailored to fit the unique needs of our clients, with an emphasis on social change. Being a women- and minority-owned business, the company has a special focus on programming that serves BIPOC and immigrant communities.

Saamiya Seraj, PhD is the co-founder and CEO of A Better Force, where she coaches young professionals and entrepreneurs, and consults with companies on their DEI and management issues. Being a woman of color and a first generation Asian immigrant to the US, Saamiya is passionate about empowering the BIPOC and immigrant community, and helping companies create a thriving and equitable work culture. Previously, she was a Director at Sheltech, helping to improve safety and quality standards on construction sites. Saamiya graduated from UT Austin with a PhD in Civil Engineering in 2014 is a recent cancer survivor.

Sarah Seraj, PhD is the co-founder and CTO at A Better Force, where she conducts workshops and consults with companies on improving workplace culture by using the latest findings from the social sciences. In her data consultancy work, she uses computational language tools to answer social psychological questions and come up with best practices for companies. As a woman of color and an immigrant, one of the main goals of her work is to have more inclusive spaces for women, BIPOC, and other underrepresented groups by tackling systematic inequalities in organizations. Sarah got her PhD in Psychology from UT Austin.
