About this Event
Our neurodivergent kids (ADHD, ASD, and more) are wonderful, loving, and amazing . . . and also sometimes really challenging to have relationships with. That's not because neurodivergent kids are more challenging than any other human, but their symptoms -- things like rigid or impulsive behaviors, emotional outbursts, difficulty with follow through -- make being in relationships hard.
If you've ever worried about how to best support your neurodivergent child as they navigate the world of friendships and romantic partnerships, this event is for you. (And chances are, you might also be a neurodivergent adult, so you will probably get something out of this, too!)
You will learn:
- Naming the challenges of: Being neurodivergent and forming relationships, parenting/raising a neurodivergent kid to be good at relationships, and being in a relationship when you have a neurodivergent kid
- Three areas to focus on when teaching your neurodivergent child how to have positive relationships, with related parenting and relationship tips
- Proactive discussions you should be having about your own partnership that will support both your relationship and child
