About this Event
Join LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) for a farm walk and talk at Nonington Farms, Kent, on the 22nd May. This event will delve into how to balance productive farming whilst creating space for nature and protecting the environment. During the day we will hear from owners James and Emma Loder-Symonds, about how they use an integrated farm management approach and regenerative practices to boost biodiversity, improve soil health and achieve high yields. The event will include a chance to see and hear about topics such as hedge laying, composting, encouraging biodiversity and precision farming techniques.
Nonington Farms was awarded Environmental Champion of the Year at the Farmer Weekly 2023 awards and are a LEAF Demonstration Farm. The business owns a 400 acre arable family farm which is LEAF Marque certified, in addition to contract farming over 3000 acres of land. Nonington Farms is one of the founding members of the Barham Downs Farm Cluster Group and is involved in the Making Space for Nature in Kent and Medway project.
