About this Event
Have you ever thought about starting a worm farm in your home or garden? Compost worms are magical beings. They take your organic waste and transform it into black gold. Worms are one of the hardest workers in our soil system. But of course, since they are living beings, worms need the right conditions and care to stay alive.
In this meetup, we will start a new worm compost at the Kaskantine, through which you can learn the information and skills needed to set up your compost system. We will discuss the basic needs of worms and build the worm box.
We will also discuss what worms eat, how their system is built and what kind of house they need.
In this ‘learning by doing’ meetup, you will also have the opportunity to discuss knowledge, skills, and strategies with people that are also composting or gardening beginners and want to learn together.
