Interested in making a 100% off-grid small solar system for sheds, workshops, trucks, or vans?
In this introductory workshop you will learn how off grid solar works, how to plan your off grid system, and what materials and tools you'll need to build it. You'll also learn about the different components of an off grid solar system and where to source them from.
This workshop is aimed at all levels and you don't need a technical background to understand it.
Note: this is an information and discussion workshop with a practical demonstration.
This workshop will be facilitated by Arran Allison, the Green Handyman for Energise Sussex Coast. Arran lives off-grid himself and has been building off grid workshops for over 20 years - building solar systems to power stages at festivals as well as small solar projects. Arran is self taught and wants to share the knowledge and skills he's learnt along the way.
This will focus on how to size an off grid system, and is for people who have made the decision to build a system and need to go through the process of sizing it or just want to know how solar works.
