Have you got a dress or skirt that you love but always wanted it to have pockets? Join experienced textiles tutor Lucy Barraclough in this adding pockets workshop. You will be learn how to upgrade a current garment by adding side pockets to it. You will cut out the pockets, learn how to place them into the side seams and how to sew in place, to look like they’ve away been a feature of your existing garment. You will leave with a new found confidence and skills to add pockets to all your garments.
Suitable clothing to add pockets to would be looser fitted skirts or dresses, such as ones with gathers, pleats or A-line styles. There will be a small selection of pocket lining fabrics to chose from but if you have some fabric that you would like to use to add an extra dash, please bring them along.
