Matthew Henry, an ASU alum, presents "From Literary Criticism to Community Benefits Plans: How the Humanities Can Support Just Climate Futures." Henry will discuss his career trajectory from a PhD in English to a research position at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he leads interdisciplinary research projects and works with communities to support a just and equitable energy transition. He will also discuss the importance of the humanities to climate research and professional pathways and skills transferability for humanities graduate students interested in non-academic careers in climate change and renewable energy.Join us in the auditorium of the Walton Center for Planetary Health on ASU's Tempe campus.
Henry's talk is free of charge, open to the public, and is hosted by Humanities for the Environment with support from the ASU Department of English, ASU LightWorks, ASU Global Futures Laboratory, and UNESCO-BRIDGES.
