About this Event
Honorary Host Councilmember Tyler Dos Santos-Tam proudly presents Paved Paradise: How Parking Explores the World author Henry Grabar. Henry is a Harvard planning fellow and a journalist from Slate who has released a fast-paced, witty, and well-researched book on how badly designed parking policy destroys everything. He shows how excess parking requirements and poor use of space elevates housing prices, destroys wetlands, hurts small businesses, exacerbates inequality, and, not least, drives us all to distraction. You won't want to miss this interesting, dynamic and important speaker!
This event is presented in collaboration with Ulupono Initiative and the UH Better Tomorrow Speaker Series.
