Join former Concordia Professor, Dr. Roy Hammerling for a presentation on the how the written word, books, and libraries came to be and why we can’t live without them. Libraries and the written word have always played a pivotal role in the development of human civilization and the increase of scientific, technological, philosophical, and religious knowledge. Dr. Roy Hammerling is a PhD graduate of the University of Notre Dame and was a Professor of Religion at Concordia College for 30 years. He is also an author, lecturer, consultant for a documentary film company, co-founder for a nonprofit, and a pastor.
