Join us for a Saturday double-billing at the ACT Heritage Library.
First up is author Susan Ackroyd who will take us behind the scenes of many well-known and well-loved nursery rhymes to show that many of them started life as political commentary. Who were Georgie Porgie and Little Jack Horner, and what role did Humpty Dumpty play in the English Civil War?
Next up is an exciting panel discussion with three Canberran authors about the way their interest in the past has informed their novels. Local authors Alexander Ellis, Steffan Kosky and Dr Stephanie Owen Reeder will discuss their historical fiction, moderated by Angharad Lodwick, book blogger and reviewer.
