The City of Sault Ste. Marie is launching a Housing Grant Program, a new initiative designed to increase housing options and meet the community's growing needs. This program financially supports homeowners, property developers, and non-profit organizations in creating rental suites or building multi-unit developments. The Housing Grant Program offers funding for various projects that result in new residential units, including the addition of secondary suites, basement apartments, and rental units to existing homes. Multi-unit housing developments and affordable housing projects led by non-profit organizations are also eligible.
