Guest Speakers:
BC/Yukon Command Executive First Vice President: Bob Underhill
- Has been involved with the Legion since 1975 when he joined the Richmond Branch 5.
- Has championed Veterans issues since then.
- Was awarded the Veterans Ombudsman’s Commendation.
- Is currently one of the Vice Presidents of BC Yukon Command.
- Is chair of the Constitution and Laws Committee for BC Yukon Command.
- Is the President of Branch 44 TVS.
- Has served as chair of all committees at the Branch level.
- Is a Trustee for both Branch 291 Richmond and Branch 60 West Vancouver.
- Has been the spokesperson for Branch 178 Shalom in fighting their eviction.
- Is the Chair of the Vancouver Remembrance Day Ceremony at Victory Square.
UBC IVET: Institute for Veterans Education and Transition
Project Coordinator : McKenzie Robinson, CD
McKenzie was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009/2010 and was part of a force protection platoon as a dismounted infantry and a driver. McKenzie currently serves both in the primary reserves and is enrolled at UBC taking on IVET projects and duties. McKenzie works in a liaison capacity in his role providing front-line knowledge of current military members. This role enables the team to gain more personalized knowledge and connections with military students on campus and Veterans in the community.
