About this Event
This full day event hosted by the City of Kingston in conjunction with the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Social Impact and the Innovation Hub at St. Lawrence College is an opportunity for students, residents, stakeholders, and leaders to come together to better understand the housing crisis and to brainstorm and propose creative ways to address the issue. The day will include panel discussions with leaders and experts, facilitated design thinking workshops throughout the day, and will culminate in brief pitches in small groups from the day’s attendees to a panel of judges.
The Housing for All Challenge will have three distinct themes: building housing faster, cheaper and/or more efficiently; reimagining how we live together; and creating connections to accelerate housing projects. This event is an opportunity for participants to network, learn more about design thinking, apply their knowledge to a real-world situation, and to create an actionable solution that could be applied locally. The event is free of charge and lunch will be provided.
