A bus tour exploring architectural adaptation and change in Norwalk’s early Victorian (ca. 1860 to 1880) houses and neighborhoods.About this Event
With last year’s Living History tour, NPT documented changes to Norwalk’s surviving factory buildings as they were adapted for reuse. This year’s tour will also explore architectural adaptation and change, in and around Norwalk’s early Victorian (ca. 1860 to 1880) houses and neighborhoods.
Restorations and renovations can and should be done with sensitivity to traditional building methods and materials. Helping you to “get your house right” is part of our mission. The Second Empire house pictured above is a fine example of this balance. It is featured in a virtual tour we created with the homeowners, which will premiere online during the event.
