When you google "grow lights," thousands of articles & products pop up. But how do you know what to choose for your home? Do you even need to add grow lights to have healthy plants? As we dove into opening a commercial plant space, we ran into all kinds of problems with our lighting. From dark spots, to sun stressing, to unhealthy plants we'd have to rehab at home. When we turned to books and online resources, we were overwhelmed. Figuring out what works for YOU isn't easy.
Cat & Mouse Plants are hosting our very first lighting workshop! Mike & Nicole will be teaching all the basics about how grow lights work, the pros & cons of various lighting systems and how we designed our shop for optimal plant health.
During this workshop, we will show you how to use your smart phone to test your natural and artificial light and compare it to our expensive plant light meter. We will go over various types of plants and how to know how much light to give each one and for how long. This workshop will focus on Soltech lighting systems, which we've recently adopted, as well as other brands we've personally tested and seen success with. When it comes to adding grow lights into your home, there are numerous options available that add to the aesthetic of your home. All you need to know is the basics!
