Welcome to House of Play – August 16th! 🎭✨
Join us for a vibrant evening of dance, creativity, and community at our upcoming charity showcase. The night will feature original choreography from Play Studios, stunning solo performances, and powerful work from guest artists across the community — all coming together for a cause.
This year, proceeds from House of Play will be donated to Unión del Barrio, a grassroots political organization dedicated to the liberation and empowerment of la raza within the U.S.
💥 About Unión del Barrio:
Founded in 1981, Unión del Barrio is an independent, volunteer-led movement that organizes to resist ICE and police violence, protect the rights of workers, youth, mujeres, and prisoners, and fight for self-determination and justice for oppressed communities.
Operating entirely through community fundraising, UdB confronts the systemic injustices impacting Latinx and Indigenous communities — including family separations, mass incarceration, deportations, and the erosion of civil rights. They work to build political power from the ground up, centering dignity, unity, and liberation.
Now more than ever, Unión del Barrio’s work is vital — and we’re proud to support them through this showcase.
