About the performers:(in alphabetical order)
Wenso Ashby, aka (Wenso Ashby Hall), is an American contemporary jazz pianist, song writer and prolific composer creating music characterized as a blend of Neo-soul, pop and smooth jazz.
Ashby hasn’t always been a jazz pianist, in fact he established himself behind the scenes in the East Coast area doing production and ghost writing for major artists in hip-hop and r&b. As faith would have it, he was encouraged by Artist Management (Amanda Fielding) to move beyond his work as a hip-hop and r&B to begin showcasing his own playing and writing talents.
He recorded and released his first album “Midnite Walkin” then relocated back to Minneapolis. He was signed to a distribution deal with Huber Entertainment which subsequently lead to Grammy consideration and an invite to the Grammy Awards. No nominations, however it brought him national attention. He has multiple albums including his most recent “The Perfect Flow” which features a variety of recognizable artists.

Side Note: We recently got to play as a trio for the first time on the MSR Yacht Cruise. It was amazing. David brought his guitar along with his tenor sax and his Digital Wind Instrument. The vibe was such a feeling that I just want to share it with others. My good friend Roxie called and reminded me of the perfect venue in Hopkins. It is small and the right place to experience The House of Jazz.
*Tickets are limited and we made it very affordable, so I encourage you not to wait until the last minute for this show.
