House of Hendo transforms the Queen West Anthropology Store into an immersive runway experience for 1664 Fashion Week FW 2025 — an evocative exploration of fashion, sustainability, and the cyclical nature of creation and decay.
Known for designing expressive storytelling through consciously converted, communicational clothing, House of Hendo invites audiences into a space where garments are language and the earth itself is muse.
Sourcing from “The Piles” — donated, thrifted, and salvaged fabrics rescued from landfills — the collection reimagines what already exists. It asks: What if the future of fashion lies not in producing more, but in thinking more deeply?
We don't need more, we need more thought.
The Pile VI: “Ripen & Rot”
The sun bestows us energy, creation into fruition.
The sun bestows us light, whilst it will also scorch & burn.
The moon shapes the tides.
The water moves slowly, waves ever so softly.
The moon shapes the tides.
The water rages over and washes away existence.
The air gifts a gentle flight to the butterflies wings.
The air creates a tempest and destroys all in its path.
The fire warms our souls, yet in an instant, turns everything to ash.
The earth grows our presence, and in the end buries us once again into the past.

It all happens here.
Here amongst Earth and its elements.
Deep in the oceans, deep in the lush forests & foliage, deep in the Earth's layers and deep beyond what we can see, live the dense spirited stories of monumental elemental past, present, and future.
Can we feel these energies'?
Can you feel these elements?
Do you feel and see what once was, what could be, and perhaps what is still existing?
