Enrolled Green Independents are invited to a caucus on Jan. 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the Balcony Room at the Bangor Public Library. Green Independents enrolled in Bangor, Brewer, Orono and Veazie will caucus to form party municipal committees and elect chairs. The Green Independents in those towns who reside in House District 24 may then vote to nominate a candidate for State Representative, who will automatically appear on the ballot as a Green Independent in a special election being held by the State of Maine on Feb. 25 to fill a legislative vacancy.
Greens from other towns, who seek involvement with the Penobscot County Green Independent Committee, are also invited.
