Peter Mawanga is a well-known and much loved singer/songwriter from Malawi in Africa, where he has been called “The Voice of the Voiceless”. Andrew Finn Magill is an award winning fiddler/violinist from western North Carolina whose work spans multiple genres (Irish, Old Time, Classical, Jazz). Finn began collaborating with Peter in 2009 when he spent a year in Malawi, leading to an album they recorded for charity, Mau a Malawi: Stories of AIDS, The two have developed a partnership that simultaneously honors and fuses their musical traditions to create compelling new music.$20 suggested donation for the event.
