We hope you'll be able to join us again this month as we host Brody Bond, a fantastic singer/songwriter from Baltimore. We're excited to welcome him to NC for the SECOND time. That's right, Brody joins our esteemed list of repeat offenders, and for good reason. He's awesome!
And... to make things a little more interesting, Jerry will be doing a short set of songs to open the night. Yep, this is likely the first time Jerry has played songs for actual humans within the confines of his own home. Stage fright be damned, it's happening.
Jerry's famous guacamole will be ready at 6:30 pm - come early before it's gone - and the music should get going at about 7:15 pm. Please bring a beverage or snacky treat to share, along with a $10 suggested donation for our musician friend. All are welcome, so feel free to bring a friend or two.
Here's a bit more info about Brody, but please go read (& listen to) more at https://www.brodybond.com/.
To listen to most of Brody Bond’s songs is to fall into a bit of a trap. You might hear something that at first feels comfortable and familiar. But then you realize something else is happening. You’re being offered new ways to perceive your experience in the world.
Brody Bond, a performing songwriter from Baltimore, MD, hopes his songs can be a type of emotional resource for people. With a voice that’s confident though fragile, melodies that take surprising turns, and lyrics that are as smart as they are emotionally vulnerable, Brody’s songs will delight especially the critical listener, and especially anyone who has grown from heartbreaking circumstances.
His performances are light-hearted, but the songs are serious, poetic, and curious. Audiences leave having been invited to a greater curiosity and hope.
“Writing these songs has been a gift to me, and I want to help make them available to anyone else who might find comfort, or challenge, or common experience in them.” - Brody Bond
You can find Brody’s latest album, 'The Mo(u)rning EP's' on all streaming platforms and CD copies are also available for purchase at the show.
