Ring in the New Year (at a reasonable hour)!Come out for an early Houghton Chook Drop from 6:30-7 p.m! We'll lower the Chook promptly at 7 p.m., so families with little ones and early birds can enjoy the celebration with a special countdown just for them! It’s a perfect way to get the kids in on the excitement of the big night before bedtime.
The City of Houghton and Visit Keweenaw will put on the spectacle twice in one night to bring the New Year spirit to everyone - so be sure to head back to the Pier at 11:30PM for the Chook Drop and music with Mr. Cesar and the Lucha Tones!
