Look behind the scenes of Hou Rongo – Moriori | Music | Manawa with exhibition curator Nancy Longnecker, and technical lead Steven Mills. Learn how the exhibition combines Moriori culture, storytelling, technology, and multi-sensory experiences to transport you to Rēkohu | Chatham Island and bring the breath of Moriori to Tūhura Otago Museum. We’ll also explore the stories that inspired the exhibits, and how collaboration with the Hokotehi Moriori Trust has led the design of the exhibition.
Nancy Longnecker is a science communicator with extensive experience in exhibition design, while Steven Mills is a computer scientist specialising in visual computing for culture and heritage. Together, they will lead you through the exhibition and reveal the secrets that lie beneath the experience.
The exhibition Hou Rongo – Moriori | Music | Manawa is featured in the Beautiful Science Gallery from 14 September – 27 October 2024.
