It’s already been a long day of travel when your engine begins to sputter and hiss…
Coaxing your car into the next town, you search the deserted streets for a mechanic - but in vain. With the evening drawing near, you spot a statuesque building with a sort of faded opulence… and a sign reading “HOTEL SINISTRO”. You take a deep breath, take a last look at the eerily empty sidewalks, and push open the giant, heavy door.
A large, echoey staircase stretches out in front of you… But to your surprise, the place is far from empty. A few oddly dressed patrons drift up the stairs in an array of frippery and furs, and you catch the distant sounds of laughter and champagne glasses clinking as they disappear. The receptionist catches your attention abruptly, surveying you with a distrustful stare.
“We weren’t expecting any more guests tonight. Our proprietor is… hosting.”
After a moment they appear to make their decision.
“Here’s your key. The master will expect you for a pre-dinner drink at 5pm, with canapes shortly thereafter. The entertainment will be commencing very soon… Best hurry. You don’t want to be late.”
With barely a backward glance they disappear into the now silent stairwell, leaving you with only questions.
Why are all these people gathered in the middle of nowhere, with no sign of life at all in the town outside?
Who is this mysterious host?
And why do you feel so uneasy?!

A cup!?Some alcohol is provided but if you have any specific libation-based desires, we recommend bringing them with you?

Unfortunately this venue does have stairs to get to the main room - we tried really hard to find one that was all ground floor but this staircase is at least wide with a solid handrail. We’ll have seating upstairs and are hoping to have a second, quieter room available on the ground floor if the venue allows. Please get in touch if there is anything we can help with to make the venue more accessible and/or with any other accessibility related questions.
