🎶 HOTBOX ON HIGHLAND | SATURDAY, SEPT 27 🎶We’re back with another night of porch vibes, cold drinks, and live music under the Birmingham stars 🌙
✨ Brotha Josh & The Bad News
New Orleans native and Birmingham-based multi-instrumentalist Joshua Holt (aka Brotha Josh) started recording home demos during the pandemic, blending indie pop and soul into a sound that’s uniquely his own. Since then, he’s released two EPs (The Caller and The Operator) and a string of singles, leading to his brand-new project, So Here Comes The Bad News.
With his full band, The Bad News, expect electrifying grooves, stylish visuals, and a live set that brings his old-meets-new sound to life.
✨ Caleb Elliott
Born and raised in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Caleb Elliott grew up the son of a preacher and a church pianist—but his path took him far beyond Sunday hymns. A classically trained cellist turned road-tested singer-songwriter, Caleb has gone from Lafayette cover gigs to becoming the go-to cellist in Muscle Shoals, working with Nicole Atkins, John Paul White, Maggie Rose, and Grammy-winner Cedric Burnside.
On Single Lock Records, he’s released two acclaimed albums (Forever to Fade and W**d, Wine & Time), with songs featured on Netflix’s The Madness and Showtime’s Shameless. His latest singles, “I Don’t Believe You” and “Slow Burn,” carry echoes of Harry Nilsson and Bobby Charles, wrapped in Southern soul. Don’t miss the chance to catch this masterful songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer right here at Hotbox.
