Matisse Morettihttps://hotvox.co.uk/artist/matisse-moretti/
Matisse Moretti is an English/French songwriter whose hook-driven earworms and timeless pop sensibilities, paired with his ethereal backing band, have earned him a reputation as a captivating performer in the Brighton indie scene. From forming his first band at 15 to selling out venues and touring the UK in his late teens, Matisse has honed his craft and is now channeling years of creative work into his live shows and recorded material. With a sequence of releases set for the year, there’s never been a better time to catch Matisse live than now. His influences span Suede, Ride, The Cure, Serge Gainsbourg, and Talking Heads.
Fever Rougehttps://hotvox.co.uk/artist/fever-rouge/
Based in Brighton, Fever Rouge are buzzing in the South UK alternative rock scene with their eclectic blend of Indie, post-punk, funk, and alternative rock. Influenced by King Krule, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, and Gorillaz, their performances are a perfect chaos of introspective lyrics and energy.
Over the past year, they’ve played 40+ UK shows, including a sold-out Green Door Store show and festival appearances Pub in the Park with McFly and Summer by the River Festival. Their upcoming EP ‘Feed The VIllain’ releasing April 2024 follows on from the 2024 single ‘The Buzz’ in promising a bright future, showcasing their evolving sound and growing potential.
TABIhttps://hotvox.co.uk/artist/tabi/
Tabi grew up immersing herself in the catalogues of iconic singers Fiona Apple, Amy Winehouse, Sinéad O’Connor, and Duffy. Her songwriting, powerful voice, and charisma carry a similar startling immediacy to when these artists started.
When Gorillaz guitarist Jeff Wootton heard her most recent single “Write A Song About,” his reaction was…
“so good, she can go all the way, get her on that Taylor Swift support!”
Aside from her music, TABI is very passionate about, mental health. She started a petition to “End Abuse In Mental Health Hospitals” which amassed over 37000 signatures.
Evillehttps://hotvox.co.uk/artist/eville/
The juxtaposition of Eva Sheldrake’s crushing riffs and candied vocals became the cornerstone of the Brighton-formed Brat Metal band Eville. Joined by Milo Hemsley (drums), Riley Sweeney (guitar/backing vocals) and Jude Richards (bass/backing vocals) the four-piece have been burning up the UK with their signature amalgam of bratty vocals and nu-metal.
Eville have been crowned track of the week by Alyx Holcombe on BBC Radio 1 – who they have garnered extensive airplay from, as well as The Radio 1 Rock Show, Radio X and Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq.
Eville have played with the likes of WARGASM (UK) , Cody Frost, Delilah Bon, Kid Bookie, sold out their own headline shows.
Winter Gardenshttps://hotvox.co.uk/artist/winter-gardens/
With the accompaniment of synths, pianos, pads & Ananda Howard & Jasmine Ardleys dual celestial harmonising vocals, Winter Gardens take the listener on a journey through an eclectic ray of dynamic, disparate sounds. A kaleidoscopic assembly of ethereal shoegaze atmospheres glued together with a pulsing post-punk attitude & a brooding gothic undercurrent with lyrics evoking a sense of cryptic intimacy.
Since the band’s inception, Winter Gardens have secured support slots for a number of high-profile names including Echo & The Bunnymen, Gary Numan, Modern English, Piroshka & Pale Blue Eyes.
