An interactive open house will be held to discuss the Fringe Area Roads Master Plan Update. This MPO study aims to create a shared vision for how the Bismarck-Mandan region’s transportation will support its growth, using scenario-based planning and innovative engagement.The meeting will be located at the Bismarck Public Works Community Meeting Room on December 10th. It will utilize an open house discussion format as well as an interactive activity to help communicate project goals. Virtual materials will be available on the project website after the event dates on December 11th.
The Public Input Meeting will focus on the Fringe Area Roads Master Plan (FARMP) Update—a comprehensive plan shaping future growth and transportation in the region’s outer edges. Building on the 2014 FARMP, this update addresses changing development patterns and community priorities by evaluating main corridors and key locations to get more focused attention. The study aims to create a shared vision for safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation through public feedback, scenario-based planning, and innovative engagement.
If unable to attend the Public Input Meeting, written statements or comments about this project must be postmarked or emailed by December 24th, 2025 to Blue Weber, Bolton & Menk, 200 E. Main Suite 301, Bismarck, North Dakota 58501 or [email protected] with “FARMP Public Input Meeting” in the letter heading or e-mail subject.
The Bismarck-Mandan MPO will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
• an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities,
• language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency (LEP), and
• translations of written material necessary to access City of Bismarck and Mandan programs and information.
Appropriate provisions will be considered when the Bismarck-Mandan MPO is notified at least 10 days prior to the meeting date or the date the written material translation is needed.
