There's no better way to raise money for a worthy cause than a bumping deep tech terrace party!
Its free entry but you will need a ticket (available soon)
The line up! We have pulled together a line up of legendary artists from the local scene and beyond
Alpha - a powerhouse of a local legend and one of the biggest names of the girl scene in Brighton.
Bearface - new to Brighton, made his debut on the deep tech scene in Ibiza and definitely one to keep an eye on
Colin Dale - A stalwart of the underground scene since the late 80s from the early days of KissFM who has gone on to hit legendary status with his Abstrakt Dance radio show.
Dubspeeka - He's going to play a house set! This will be one you won't want to miss. Dubspeeka is signed to some of the biggest underground labels in the world with his unique style of deep, dubby beats
Laurence Nelson - one of the master minds behind the classic track Gat Decor Passion. An absolute legend of the scene and a rare treat to have him play for us.
Lola - What can we say? Nobody rocks a crowd like Lola does and with her recent string of releases on Lowering the Tone and Red Giant she is going from strength to strength. A positive force that is near impossible to follow.
Sterling - head honcho from Sessions, Sterling has been setting dance floors alight with deep grooves and infectious beats for years. His monthly residency on 1BTN is one to make sure you catch.
And there's more TBA!
And why are we doing this? Our very good friend and local DJ/Producer Jon Ward has pancreatic cancer. The life saving treatment he needs is not available in the uk and is crazy expensive. We need you to come, donate and drink as much as you can (we take a cut of the bar for the cause!)
The tickets are free, you will need one to get in but there are also donation. tickets (which we hope you will buy!)

Or read on -
?Jon (42) needs your help and he needs it fast. He is fighting for his life against the cruel, aggressive and highly lethal disease which is Pancreatic Cancer (Stage 4).
?Pancreatic Cancer currently has one of the highest mortality rates of all cancers.
? Jon was diagnosed in June 2023.
? The primary tumour was removed in August 2023 via a HUGE open surgery on his abdomen, called a Whipple Procedure. He thought he was out of the woods.
? His entire world was ripped apart in November 2023 when a scan revealed that the cancer had already spread to his liver, despite the surgery.
? He has endured 8 months of chemotherapy on the NHS to try and control the tumours. During his chemotherapy treatment, Jon endured immuno-suppression induced sepsis, depression and blood clots, lifelong medication (blood thinners, pancreatic enzymes) and scaring with months of excruciating pain from his Whipple Procedure, teamed with opioid withdrawal from the amount of pain medication he required during recovery.
? The disease has been slowly ripping Jon’s life from him - friendship, love, ambition and music was replaced with terror, fatigue and crippling overwhelm.
? Despite the gruelling nature of the past 10 months, Jon has kept remarkably fit. He has been walking, talking and laughing most days with his fiancé Bryony (28), who he met at the time of his diagnosis.
? He has also maintained a carefully crafted diet to promote healing and combat chemotherapy toxicity.
? Bryony, his Mum (Valerie), Dad (Tony), little brother Alex, and friends were a vital source of support, grounding and joy throughout this intensely difficult time.
? In April 2024, the NHS determined that the chemotherapy was ineffective (as the tumours were still growing - albeit slowly).
? Jon’s treatment was therefore suspended by the NHS.
?As you can imagine this was a devastating decision imposed upon Jon against his wishes.
? So, Jon, Bryony, Alex, Valerie and Tony launched a campaign to raise funds to obtain private treatment abroad (Germany), offering genetically targeted treatment options.
? Jon began his treatment in Germany in May 2024.
? His treatment included extensive genetic testing of the primary tumour (which was removed in August 2023).
? The genetic testing revealed that Jon’s tumour expresses mutations which are most commonly found in breast cancer, prostate cancer and stomach cancer. (In addition to other mutations which are common to pancreatic cancer).
?The combinations of mutations in Jon’s tumour are very rare which means it is extremely difficult to treat with standardised therapy but this also opens up avenues of treatment not usually associated with Pancreatic Cancer.
?Therefore, Jon’s current treatment plan includes 1 standard chemotherapy (typically used as a final resort treatment for pancreatic cancer), 1 targeted chemotherapy (typically used to treat breast cancer), 1 immunotherapy (typically used for stomach cancer), 1 tablet which blocks the blood vessels in the tumour and 1 cancer vaccine.
? Due to current licensing for Pancreatic Cancer Treatment in the UK, Jon can only receive the standard chemotherapy component of his treatment plan on the NHS.
? So Jon, Bryony, Valerie and Tony have been and will continue to travel to Germany to acquire Jon’s life-saving treatment.
In the face of premature death, Jon carries on about his day with a determination and positivity which is utterly astounding.
We will never give up!
