Did you know it takes a team of dedicated volunteers to get a hot air balloon in the air?East Texas Balloon Club, in collaboration with The Great Texas Balloon Race, invites you to participate in a Hot Air Balloon Training Day on the Longview Rodeo Arena on Saturday, May 24th!
Just in time for The Great Texas Balloon Race and BFA US National Championship, learn from experienced ETBC pilots and crew chiefs about how balloon teams inflate, launch, recover and deflate hot air balloons!
This hands-on hot air balloon experience requires no prior ballooning knowledge, just an eagerness to learn!
Participation in Crew Training Day will prepare volunteers to be on a balloon team not just during the Great Texas Balloon Race, but throughout the year! East Texas Balloon Club pilots fly year-round in Longview, and are always happy to welcome new members to the team!
