A FOREST OF STARS, returning to play Scotland for the first time since 2015, need little introduction - the opium-addled madfolk of The Club have been a benchmark for boundary pushing black metal internationally, but particularly as stalwart members of the UKBM scene for about 15 years. They have been much missed and will play a full headline set for attendees. FFO the horrors of imperialism, cosmic and otherwise.
Also performing a headline set are ASHENSPIRE, in which they will play an exclusive set comprised primarily of their new record, HOSTILE ARCHITECTURE, releasing July 18th, plus select other tunes. Drawing from the harsh sound worlds of progressive black metal and avant garde jazz as much as noir-hop and noise rock, Ashenspire bring anthems of radical, revolutionary rage to the old Hairdressers this July.
Opening the show is a post-rock masterclass from Edinburgh's We Came From The North, stalwarts of emotive and cinematic instrumental jams. Not to be missed.
