HOST Exhibition Exchange

Starting from a single sentiment, “host”, each artist travelled a distance into their own narrative world, using the group prompt as a conceptual and methodical challenge. The work in the exhibition includes meditations on our relationships with the natural world, with places and traditions, with architecture, with each other, and with our own thoughts and emotions.

Participating artists: Monika Crowley, Margot Galvin, Dan Henson, Mary O Connor, Alana Barton, Jonathan Brennan, Tim Millen and Esther O’Kelly. Curated by Moran Been-noon.

The Dean Art Studio is excited to welcome upcoming exhibition HOST, which takes place in the Harcourt Street Studio from the 2nd to the 9th of October.

Exhibition opens in Dublin at The Dean Arts Studio, 39 Harcourt Street, on Saturday 2nd October from 12-5pm. Runs 11am-5pm daily until October 9th, free of charge.

Opens in Belfast at The Vaults Artists’ Studios as part of the Belfast International Arts Festival on Thursday 14th at 5pm, runs until October 24th.

About The Dean Arts Studio

The Dean Arts Studio is a new, multi-disciplinary artistic hub located on Harcourt Street, in the heart of Dublin city centre.

This cultural initiative is an investment in Ireland’s creative community in response to the contraction of accessible city workspaces for artists and arts organisations. The Dean and Press Up Hospitality Group recognise the difficulties faced by artists in securing affordable studios in Dublin City Centre, due in part to the loss of cultural spaces through development. The Dean Arts Studio is a practical response to these challenges.
