Rev. Tom Arthur, Lead Pastor of Sycamore Creek Church in Lansing is coming to teach and train us on the many pieces of connecting to people who aren’t yet part of the church.In the morning, we’ll learn about community engagement, otherwise known as outreach and evangelism. That’s what they’ve really dug into at Sycamore Creek, showing how it works for small to medium-sized churches averaging 50 to 100 people on Sunday mornings.
In the afternoon, we’ll learn about hospitality, or how to make people feel welcome once they are at an event, or how to welcome people inclusively.
The business of the district, also known as the District Conference, will take place at 11:30 a.m. The business meeting agenda will be released soon and will include the 2026 budget, a list of leaders, and more.
Please register you and your leadership team. A donation of $5 per person is suggested to offset the expense of providing lunch and refreshments.
