Join Hospice of Laramie for an elegant and fun evening filled with wine food fundraising and contests. Guests will taste wines provided by profession wine vendors food by UW Catering and have the opportunity to win prizes for participating in various contests. There will be a silent auction and “blind” wine pull where guests may purchase bottles of wine by “blindly” drawing a bottle number. Each guest will receive an event wine glass to keep. All proceeds from the event support the mission of Hospice of Laramie and the services that they provide to the Laramie community and others.
Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Hospice treats the person not the disease. We emphasize quality of life rather than the length of time left. Hospice care seeks to enable our patients to spend what time they have left with dignity and quality either at home or in a home-like setting.
