On Saturday, September 14th, Galactic will be hosting a Horus Heresy Play Day!The entry fee for this event is $10.

For those who are not aware, a play day is basically just a relaxed tournament. It's a great opportunity for both experienced and new players to get some games in. If you are new to the game, your first game will be with an experienced player who can teach you how to play. The format works like this. Everyone who shows up will be paired with an opponent for round 1. Following round one, we will break for lunch for an hour. After lunch, everyone will be paired with another opponent. At the end of the second round, prizes will be handed out as follows:
Best Traitor (Based on VP)
Best Loyalist (Based on VP)
Best Painted Single Model (Judged)
Favorite Army (Player Voted)
Missions for this event will come from The Martian Civil War Campaign Book that releases the same day of the event.
Schedule:
Doors Open: 9:30 am
Round 1: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Lunch: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Round 2: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Prizes 5:15 pm
At the beginning of each round, you and your opponent will agree on a point value to play ranging from 2000 to 3000 points.
Some additional restrictions to list building will also apply to encourage fun and fair games:
1. A hard limit of 1 dreadnought per 1000 points.
2. A model who takes Artificer Armor as an upgrade may only roll to save a number of wounds equal to the initiative of the model wearing it.
3. No spam. (No more than 3 of any of the same unit.)
4. Primarchs are only allowed in games vs other primarchs. This means that those wishing to play their primarch need to be prepared to swap him out of their list if paired with an opponent without one.
