Saturday February 11th the first Horus Heresy 2.0 event in East Texas is kicking off with a bang. Event will consist of 2 (possibly 3 time permitting) games at 2000pts a game. They will be timed but this is just to help with pacing of the day. We will break for lunch between games.
Prize support: prizes will be based on attendance. The more people we get the bigger the prizes. The 3 prize categories are as follows. Best Painted (player voted), Best Sportsmanship (player voted), Best Praetor (most VPs)
What you need to bring:
10$ entry fee that goes towards prizing
1 2000pt list and 1 1500point list, the 1500 point list is in case of high turnout some tables may be 2v2. All 1v1s will be 2000points
-your Liber Astartes/Hereticus books
-your Age of Darkness Rulebook
-Dice & tape measure
-a fun attitude
List building restrictions:
-Fury of the Ancients Rite of War will not be allowed at this event
-Maximum of 3 units with the Dreadnought type in the 2000pt list, Max of 2 in the 1500pt list.
Prizing!
Prizes will be awarded for player voted Best Painted, and Best Sportsmanship. Third prize is for Best Praetor (player with most VPs at end of event)

Dythax was one of the staging points for the Retribution Fleet sent to enact the Emperors punishment on the Traitors in the Istvaan system. Notable for a stable nexus of warp routes it became a system utilized by crusade fleets operating in the galactic north and as such was a system rich in both war materiel and commerce as both traders and reinforcement fleets used the system in support of the many crusade fleets.
