HORUS HERESY 2ND EDITION MASSIVE BATTLE FINALE Welcome to the Horus Heresy; where you will lead your forces in the battles that will ultimately decide its fate.
This event is for the tabletop game, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy (This is NOT a Warhammer: 40,000 event.)

THE NARRATIVE SETTING / THE GREAT SCOURING: “THE FINAL BATTLE FOR PARAMAR V”
Horus has been slain by the Emperor, who, having been mortally wounded, is confined to the Golden Throne.
Loyalist forces seek vengeance.
The war-torn planet of Paramor V has been a major battleground throughout the Horus Heresy; being a gateway into the Sol system.
Now, following Horus’s loss at the Siege of Terra, Paramar V has once more become a battleground of contention; a proxy war for the greater conflict at large.
The initial assault on Paramar V was a hard fought victory for the traitors, who managed to push the loyalists back long enough to fortify their position. but now, the final push of a unified loyalist front is at hand. Can the traitors break the loyalist’s final advance, or will the loyalists fulfill their desire for vengeance, claiming Paramar V in the Emperor’s name once more?
EVENT OVERVIEW

- If the sides are not equal in the number of attending players, before beginning the 1st battles of the event, we will ask for volunteers to join one side or another to balance the numbers between the two factions.
- At the end of the event, the faction with the most victory points will be proclaimed the winner!
EVENT DETAILS
- The event welcomes both beginners, as well as long time players of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, 2nd edition.

Objectives
- There will be a number of Objectives which will be explained in detail at the event.
- If a side holds more objectives than their opponent at the end of its turn, it will score victory points.
- When event-time runs out, the final turn has concluded, the side with the most Victory Points is the overall-victor.

FORCE ORGANIZATION
- Army Lists may be up to 1500pt in size.
- A single Allied Detachment may be taken in addition to a Primary Detachment.
- To make the scale of this final battle more epic, a single Titan, Knight or Super Heavy unit may be taken irregardless of its point cost, or the usual 25% Lord of War limit. In order to feature that unit in the battle, it must be discussed with and receive the approval of the organizer at least 48hrs prior to the event, and may reduce the size of your army for the event to make sure the game moves at a good pace and both sides are relatively equal in power-balance. (message Gabriel Gold via Facebook for details and approval).
DISALLOWED:
- The “Questoris Household Detachment” cannot be taken.
- The “Fury of the Ancients” Rite of War cannot be taken.
- The “Shattered Legion” army cannot be taken.
- Primarch sub-type units may not be taken.
- Character units with the “Unique” Type may not be taken without prior approval by the organizer at least 48hrs prior to the event (message Gabriel Gold for approval).
LIMITED:
- Armies may only include up to 1 model with more then 4 wounds (this includes Dreadnoughts).
- Armies cannot have more than 2 unit-selections of the same unit-name; units that are Compulsory Troop Choices are an exception to this limit.
IMPORTANT REQUEST:
- Please send Army Lists to Gabriel Gold via Facebook Messenger for approval, prior to the event.
- Lists made via the Battlescribe or New Recruit list building apps are necessary for approval.
- Lists can also be looked at, at the event, but being able to save time during the event by approving them ahead of time is very helpful and appreciated.
ERRATA:
Deepstrike
- When placed as part of a Deepstrike Assault, all models of a Deepstriking unit must be placed within a number of inches of the first model of that unit placed onto the battlefield; the distance in inches each model may be placed is equal to the model’s initiative score (all members of the unit must also maintain coherency with each other, as normal).
- When rolling for Disordered Deepstrike, roll for each Deepstriking unit, instead of just once for the entire Deepstrike.
Multi-charging:
- A unit who shot at an enemy unit in the shooting phase may multi-charge any enemy units within 12”, as long as the unit they shot at in the shooting phase is the primary target of the charge.
Challenges
- Models in Challenges may not be allocated wounds caused by any models not involved in the Challenge. Challenges only last for a single combat phase, but the same models may still declare challenges and fight in another Challenge against each other in future combat turns, as normal.
Chosen Warrior
- Models with the Chosen Warrior special rule can accept challenges, but not declare them.
Primarchs and Monsterous Characters
- Primarchs and Monsterous Characters who refuse a Challenge cannot be chosen to not fight in combat; If there are no other Characters in the challenged unit to choose to not fight in combat, then the choice is wasted.
Dedicated Transports:
- Dedicated Transports taken for a unit with the Line ability do not also gain the Line ability, themselves.
Assault Transports:
- Units in Assault Transports may charge the turn they arrive, even if arriving from a Deepstrike or Outflank (other special rules that may prevent a unit from charging still apply, like firing Rapid Fire or Heavy weapons).
Titans:
- Titans cannot be attacked by infantry or walkers in melee, except by Melta Bombs.
Titans, Knights and Super Heavies:
- Titans, Knights and Super Heavies may only make shooting attacks with battle weapons and declare charges against other Titans, Knights, or Super Heavies.
Dreadnoughts, Walkers and Automata:
- AP1 weapons cause 1d3 wounds vs Dreadnoughts, Walkers and Automata.
