Meghan Coyle, CJF, is a versatile farrier based in Central Kentucky with over 13 years of experience in the industry. She is a 2013 graduate of the Midwest horseshoeing school and has completed apprenticeships under many highly respected professionals and organizations within both the farrier and veterinary fields, allowing her to continually expand her knowledge and better serve her clientele.
Throughout her career, Meghan has remained deeply committed to professional development, competing in shoeing contests and completing her farrier certifications while pregnant and raising her daughter. Following certification, she sought to give back to the profession through mentorship. She is currently a tester for the American Farriers Association and takes on apprentices of her own, guiding them through the certification process and helping them develop the skills necessary to become successful business owners in a highly competitive region.
Meghan works with a wide range of equine disciplines, including hunter-jumpers, eventers, police horses, and lesson horses. She places a strong emphasis on soundness throughout the horse’s lifespan, giving the same level of attention and care to retired and aging horses as she does to competitive equine athletes. Her work emphasizes strong fundamentals alongside corrective and advanced shoeing techniques. She approaches each horse with precision and care, prioritizing long-term soundness, performance, and overall success.
