Day Retreats with the Herd are coming! This 2024 season will offer 3 main themes for your day here At hOMe! I love to set a theme but not attach to an agenda; the very bottom line is I can only plan part of your day, the Herd will do what the Herd will do - my work here with the Horses begins and ends with CONSENT.When you are in the paddocks here and a horse offers you an exchange, they have absolutely chosen to interact with you! There are no horses on lead ropes, no round pen captures, there is liberty and freedom for the Herd; offering every guest a fully authentic and unscripted experience.
About those themes!!
Of course there are no one size fits all, this is for everyone events ... however, if you are humaning right now these themes are for you! All of the retreats will offer yoga movement practices, conscious breathwork, sound baths, time in and around the Herd (dependent on individual) time in Circle and creative expression through theme guided art projects.
July 12, 2024 - 9:30am - 4:00pm : Boundaries, what they are, and what they aren't for, dispelling the myths and observing the Herd to watch the masters hold and honour each others boundaries! Let's spend some time identifying our own true Self, leaning into our beliefs and how they are impacting our ability to discern information and be in relationship! Our trauma and our healing both require relationship; this retreat will unlock the beautiful dance of boundaries within the Herd and how it can help you in your own life.
August 10, 2024 - 9:30am-4:00pm : Grief ... this one is close to my heart and will be offered in honour of the deeply personal lessons I've learned within the Herd after the loss of my son - we all have some sort of grief we are carrying around; are you ready to let the Herd stand with you, share your burden and offer you the community you need to alchemize wounds to wisdom? Embrace moving in your own time, creating ritual and allowing Grief to walk with you as you navigate life.
August 23, 2024 - 9:30am - 4:00pm - Regulating your Nervous System ... you've probably seen words like somatic thrown around a lot lately, and unless you're living under a rock you know the health risks of life's running at full throttle. Our need for safety and rest has been sacrificed at the altar of more, more, more! In fairness most of us keeping this pace don't have the luxury of stopping; but the Herd and I would love the opportunity to share a day with you; a day chalk full of wisdom, practices and rest that you can drawn on as needed moving forward - reclaiming your wellness!
All retreats include morning tea/treats, a delicious lunch & beverages as well as afternoon snacks; all craft materials are included - please bring your own journal, yoga mat, water bottle and dress appropriate for barn yard travel! The cost for each retreat is $175/person
Participation will be limited to 4-6 individuals in each retreat, registration is now open and spots will be filled on a first paid basis. Please contact me if you require additional information and please let me know of any dietary limitations at the time or registration.
