HORRORS OF THE DEEP! Conquest LaoK Random Doubles Narrative Event.
Who: You and other Conquest Last Argument of Kings players
What: A first ever doubles event with a TWIST!
When: Friday October 14th starting at 10am
Where: Golden Rhino Games (2092 Whittaker rd, Ypsilanti, 48197)
Why: To play in a first ever Random Doubles style event for Conquest!
As the seasons change the water begins to grow dark off the coasts of Argem and Aquilea. The deep seems to come closer and closer to the surface every day. To the point that the surface of the water just appears to be cold and black. As a fog poors over the horizon, what foul things wait in the deep?
Welcome to our first Random Doubles event for Conquest the Last Argument of Kings!
Each person will be mustering a 1000pt army to battle with a randomly selected teammate each round against two new opponents! As this is the first time any kind of doubles event has ever happened for Conquest LAOK in our area there are a few extra rules you should know.
Each player will construct an army of 1000pts. Please remember to bring your command cards, and everything to play your army.
Each army will be considered separate armies for all rules purposes. Ex. Both players play Old Dominion, they will only gain Dark Power tokens when their regimens stands are destroyed. Not for their teammates. Also, this means that spells and effects that can target “friendly regiments” cannot target your teammates regiments. Both armies function as individuals.
During the Reinforcement Phase, both players will roll for their own reinforcements. They are not pooled together by class.
During the Command Phase, each player will stack their own command stack. All four players should have individual stacks in this way. Teams need to tally the total number of command cards between both players.
During the Supremacy Phase, Teams will roll off together adding their dice totals together. Should 1 team have less total cards than the other team, they will gain advantage and may add or subtract up to 2 to their combined total, to no less than 1. Players must declare any Supremacy Abilities before rolling off.
During the Activation Phase, Both players on the team will activate the top card of their deck. However, before flipping any cards, both players must discuss who is first and who is second activation. This is important for resolving effects and Draw events in proper order. In either case, if a Supremacy Ability or other ability says “these Activations may not result in further drawing Activation Cards, this only affects the player who is triggering them. Not their teammate.
During the Victory Phase, when tallying victory points, both players' armies are working together to hold territory and secure objectives. They may score points with the help of their teammates' regiments.
Each player will need to construct a Secondary Objective deck with 3 cards per round (9 cards total), of which only 1 card may be a duplicate. Cards in your deck may only be of your same faction or neutral cards. Each round players will draw 3 cards. Any duplicates must be returned to the deck after replacing them, except for round 3. Whether achieved or not, the cards from the prior round are not put back into your deck but removed from the tournament.
Overall Event info.
This event will be played over 3 rounds.
Each round will be 2 hours long. Starting at 10:30am sharp!
There will be a 45 minute break after round 1 at 12:30 to 1:15. Please plan accordingly
There is no painting requirement for this event.
Each round you will be randomly determined to play with a new teammate against two other players. There is a good chance that your enemies from prior rounds will become your teammates later. So be prepared to work with anyone you might be teamed up with!
Please arrive with at least one copy (1) of your army list. Please include your Warlord and your name on the list.
Basic Model edicate.
Models must be fully assembled. No proxies.
Un-released regiments are not allowed. Conversions are welcome as long as 75% of the models are Para-Bellum models.
THE TWIST! Each round players will be given “secret missions” to try and accomplish. These can affect any player during that game, friend or foe.
At the end of the event we will be looking for a few different winners.

Two Highest Scoring Players.
Scores for each round will be up to 12 Victory Points. K*ll points will be tracked for ties. +1 for each enemy destroyed Command Card (including characters).
This should be a fun and wacky event!
Tickets are $10 each. No Refunds. Please only attend if you are sure you can make it.
