Comedian and filmmaker, Joseph Scrimshaw, celebrates a big birthday with a packed variety show that wrestles with the existential horror of time. For FUN! Featuring stand-up, sketches, and songs from Laser The Boy, Ken Napzok, Audrey Kearns & Hal Lublin. Plus the LA premiere of Joseph’s short horror-comedy film, The Demon’s Commentary.
ABOUT JOSEPH:
Joseph Scrimshaw is a writer, comedian, and filmmaker with experience performing, producing, and writing in multiple mediums. He’s written for Adult Swim’s fantasy comedy TV show, Tigtone, the movie-riffing group, RiffTrax, the scripted podcast, Getting On With James Urbaniak, and more. His 22 minute horror film The Nightmare Adorable won BEST SHORT at the Crimson Screen film festival and his experimental comedy short The Narrator starring Phil LaMarr won the Silver Award for Best Experimental short at the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology. Joseph’s plays Adventures in Mating, An Inconvenient Squirrel, and My Monster (written with Bill Corbett) have been performed worldwide. As a comedian and actor, Joseph’s done the SF SketchFest, Jonathan Coulton’s JoCoCruise, multiple Fringe Festivals, pop culture conventions, and a commercial with the monkey from Friends. A true highlight of his career.
