I am thinking of sailing the south side of Horn Island if a good North wind is available. I would launch at Lake Mars or farther East at Pascagoula, sail out to Horn and along the south side then back north to mainland. Might shuttle, Uber wise, if weather requires, back to launch point. I will be in open boat that I can roller up onto beach or clothes line anchor off beach if needed. There have been super nice little “bays” along the south side that offer well protected anchorage. Now there are small developing areas behind sand bars that offer some protection from swells in a north wind. Part of what I plan is to look along this shore for growing new bays. Likely I would camp two nights but this plan is VERY dependent on weather!!!!!
