About this Event
We would be delighted if you would once again join us for our annual Christmas Carol Concert at St Mary Abbots Parish Church (Kensington Church Street, Kensington, London, W8 4LA) on Thursday 8th December from 6:30pm until 8:30pm to celebrate the start of the festive season in support of Horatio’s Garden.
Last year, we were fortunate to be able to come together with a whole host of supporters for a wonderfully warm winter’s evening, with everyone who attended sharing just how much they had enjoyed their evening. The chance to spend time together after so long apart made the evening feel truly magical and it was lovely to see families and friends gathering across all generations for the special occasion.
Now, recapturing that same seasonal spirit feels as worthwhile as ever.
Doors will open at 6:10pm and the concert will start promptly at 6:30pm, lasting for approximately one hour until 7:30pm.
Throughout the joyful hour we will be joined by special guest, BBC Gardeners' World presenter Arit Anderson. The concert will also feature beautiful and heart-warming music from soprano, Bibi Heal, tenor Xavier Hetherington and St Mary Abbots talented choir, with more to be confirmed!
Afterwards, all those who attend will have the opportunity to savour a delicious mince pie and a festive glass of fizz. Both are included in the price of your ticket, which costs £30*. There is a reduced price of £15* for under 30s, whilst wheelchair users will be able to attend the event for free.
There will be a collection during the concert, with all your generous donations going directly towards supporting people affected by spinal injury and their loved ones who are spending time in Horatio’s Garden this Christmas and beyond.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you in this historic place for a fabulously festive evening this coming December.

About St Mary Abbots Parish Church
Whilst the present church of St Mary Abbots will be 150 years old this year, there has in fact been a community of worship here for some 1000 years. The earliest record is a mention of a church in the Domesday Book, making it one of the earliest churches to be established in Kensington. Indeed, it was the only one in existence in the area until the nineteenth century.
The present church was completed in its entirety in 1879 and illustrates Sir George Gilbert Scott’s work at its architectural best. St Mary Abbots Parish Church has been at the heart of many lives since then and continues to be a thriving centre supporting the local community to this very day.
