About the musicians
Hopeless Semantics is a duo from South Central PA consisting of Mike Slusser and Linda Null. This duo focuses on harmonies and the use of 6-string guitars, combined with 12-string and mandolin, as well as keyboard, to deliver a wide variety of Americana music, from classic rock to country to bluegrass to blues. Their repertoire for requests is outstanding.
"Mandolin Mike" Slusser is a talented and gifted mandolin player and multi-instrumentalist with over three decades of experience under his belt. Mike has established himself as a virtuosic and versatile player who is equally at home playing traditional bluegrass tunes or exploring more contemporary genres, while singing lead and harmony vocals.
Linda Null is a dynamic and soulful vocalist with a loyal following in South Central PA as well as Northern VA. With a voice reminiscent of Etta James and Janis Joplin, she sings lead and plays guitar and keyboard, and also joins Mike to create exquisite vocal harmonies.
