The Book Awards is to recognize those who have overcome adversities & begun to speak out through written books, spoken word or visual arts.
About this Event
In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, “ injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” With everything that is going on in this world, our advocates and survivors are the ones who are standing up and speaking out. They are the voices for the voiceless; however, as many of you know, standing up for what is right and just is not always easy. Speaking up and out about one’s abuse often leaves that person open for criticism and blame. We live in a society that is quick to blame the victim and protect the perpetrator; however, we are beginning to see a shift as victims and survivors realize they are not alone.
Hope Pyx Global wants to shine a light on these true heroes, the survivors. The 1st Annual Book Awards and Conference is designed to recognize those who have overcome adversities and have begun to speak out through books, spoken word, visual arts or music. Also, tune in as they share how you combat social injustice. As William Faulkner once said, “Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.”
Submit your favorite survivor story today or choose to help sponsor the event. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
