About this Event
Assessing the role of Agroforestry in Climate Neutral Farming - an afternoon tour of RSPB's Hope Farm and discussions with CEO of Nature Friendly Farming Network, Martin Lines.
With the long talked about agroforestry option within the Environmental Land Management schemes (ELMs) coming into fruition, now seems as good a time as any to discuss opportunities for tree planting on farm. What benefits can agroforestry bring to your farm? How much will you be paid for it? What are the barriers to adoption? These are just some of the questions we'll be hoping to answer during the Hope Farm Agroforestry Tour. As well as the tour, the afternoon will also involve discussions and comparisons of agroforestry schemes at Hope Farm and The Allerton Project. This is a free event and is part of the ClieNFarms (Climate Neutral Farms) Project.
Please arrive at 12:30pm for lunch. The schedule of the day is as follows:
13:00 Introducing Hope Farm's Agroforestry trial - Martin Lines
