Join Charity of Knox Holistic for this special ONE DAY Hoop Dance Workshop (before Ecstatic Dance) at the Hive Collective in Cookeville, TN. Hoop Dance is a low impact exercise using a special dance hoop that is suitable for ALL ages/sizes, but this workshop is geared to those who are over 12 yrs of age (or more mature kiddos) due to the more technical nature of hoop dance.
What to expect: when you arrive, you will be fitted with 2 hoops. One larger/heavier hoop for waist moves & one smaller/lighter hoop for off body/hand moves.
Then we circle up to go over a brief history of hoop dance as well as meet & greet others in the group.
Charity, the instructor, will show you how to get started, turn some music on & let you practice. Between each song, she will teach you a move that connects to the one before it. By the end of class, you will have your very own “flow sequence” you can take home to practice or show to friends/family.
Hoops are provided for class use & also available to order/purchase after class. These are NOT the cheap hoops you find at Walmart. They are custom made to your size/skill level so it’s MUCH easier to learn.

About the instructor: Charity of Knox Holistic is not only an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, she’s also a Hoop Dance & Yoga Instructor with a heart for teaching others how to find their flow. Did you know that those who have some form of flow practice in their lives tend to be happier?
She likes to call hoop dance “accidental exercise”….a chance to play & let loose that doesn’t require a fancy gym membership or expensive equipment. Just a willingness to show up & give it a spin.
She’s been teaching & performing the art of Hoop Dance in the Knoxville area since 2009 & practicing since 2006. She may be 50yrs old now, but she’ll forever be a hoop dancer.
